We just had our first visit today for our sweet 11 yr old chihuahua Basil who was sadly just diagnosed with melanoma by our primary veterinarian. Being devastated with the terminal diagnosis we frantically researched the best oncologist we could find for Basil and were very impressed with the Pet Cancer Care Group reviews and Dr. Villamil's credentials. Our visit was good considering the inevitable outcome we are facing. We were greeted today by the doctor's assistant Daryl (sp?) who impressed us with his knowledge of Basil's recent medical history and surgery. We then met with Dr. Villamil and he was so kind to answer all of our questions, some being answered twice as we tried to wrap our heads around all this. Anyway, we felt very comfortable with Dr. Villamil even under these circumstances. He was clearly experienced, knowledgeable and had wonderful bedside manners. We couldn't have a better doctor to support us in this journey for our little one and for us. - February 2023

My sincere hope is that you don’t ever find yourself in need of a veterinary oncologist, but if you do then I would highly recommend Pet Cancer Group.
Most importantly, Dr Armando Villamil possesses a depth of knowledge on both the industry standard chemo options as well as the more cutting-edge options for cases where the standard path isn’t achieving desired results. From our initial consultation, we were presented with all the options, we were given a professional opinion for best prognosis, but we were always made to feel that the final decision was ours to make. I have full confidence that our boy, Jameson is making great progress because of the choice we made in working with Dr. Villamil.
The entire staff treats my family - both human and canine - with sense of dignity and respect at every visit. Medicine is a science and a medical practice could be forgiven if they chose to conduct themselves in a cold and sterile manner. However, the staff at Pet Cancer Group never cease to greet us with a smile and handle our boy, Jameson with care and delicacy. Jameson, though silly and loving has an unfortunate past with abuse, hence, more difficult to manage over most pups. Nonetheless, what we predicted to be a difficult, uncomfortable journey has turned out to be the opposite. Jameson has opened up to others and is trusting. With that, it’s clear Dr. Villamil Is taking great care of our boy and it shows. Our visits do not last 30 minutes, making our journey easier to cope with and less stressful for Jameson.
